With this short review, I plan on discussing the benefits of easily being able to use the bathroom as a Rideshare driver! Yes, I really do plan on covering how easy it is for a driver to take a piss while picking up and dropping off passengers. Since everyone else is so scared to talk about this, let your Rideshare Doctor be the first one to willingly break the ice lol. There’s a driver out there somewhere on the road that needs to hear this! So, how many of you ever had to use the restroom really bad but couldn’t go because work was so busy? How many of you ever had to use the restroom really bad but couldn’t go because someone above you like your boss told you you couldn’t go? Why do I hear a faint noise in my background from all of my readers screaming all at the same time, MEEEEEEEEEE lololol!
Well if all of you readers are so tired of being so busy to the point where you can’t use the bathroom or having someone tell you when you can use the bathroom, then becoming a Rideshare driver might be just for you. For those who may decide not to become a Rideshare driver (which the majority of you sadly will!), this review will be for you. After reading this review, you’ll no longer have the right to complain about not being able to use the bathroom when you need to. Especially after being made aware of your options. Not every job or business controls when you can and cannot use the bathroom. That being the case, after reading this review or reminder lol, you’ll be simply choosing to not use the bathroom when you need to. I guess some people like being controlled, I don’t know!
At #1RideShareDoc, my main focus is to share my story and extensive 6 plus years of personal experiences working on the road, while also sharing both the positive and negative aspects. I possess a wealth of valuable insights concerning the Rideshare industry that I believe can greatly benefit each and every driver and/or passenger . You may also have some good or bad experiences yourself that you may want to share, that we all could relate, learn and grow from. So let this platform be your new place to come and relate or vent when a driver or passenger pisses (lol!) you off or makes you feel good! Let’s discuss the things that these Rideshare companies like Uber, Lyft, Via, and Sidecar aren’t talking about! Let your Rideshare doctor prepare you for what’s ahead of you and more importantly behind you. Let’s begin!!
That being said, this short rideshare review will be divided into the following sections, for better absorption and clearer understanding purposes:

What Does “Easily Using The Bathroom” Mean?
To be totally honest with you, this question is nothing more than a sarcastic statement that basically translates to a Rideshare driver being able to go to and use the bathroom when you have to. Not when someone else is telling you that you can as if you both share one stomach! But I’m pretty sure some of you knew that already. There’s nothing restricting you or telling you that you can’t relieve yourself because of work or whatever other reasons they may have thought of.
How Did I Discover This Method?
I discovered this method the way most people discover new methods. I discovered this method by me doing something that I knew I shouldn’t have been doing. That “something” that I knew I shouldn’t have been doing was taking on a 2-hour ride all the way to Pennsylvania, while knowing beforehand that I had to use the bathroom. That being said, I discovered the method of easily using the bathroom (in my car!) when I didn’t have a choice lol! It was like my passenger had a gun to my head screaming “Hassan you better go now or be sorry later”!! And I don’t think they were talking about shooting me if I didn’t go lol.
Now I really dislike exposing myself, but that someone who had a gun to my head was really my passenger. Of course they didn’t have a gun to my head though! But that’s what it felt like as they were explaining to me that it was completely fine and that they wouldn’t mind stepping out the car for a second. So after about an hour of me holding my urine, I was finally granted permission to pull over to the side of the road. The passenger politely stepped out and allowed me to urgently alleviated myself into my Pepsi bottle lol! That’s
the story of how I discovered the method of easily using the bathroom in my car. Don’t tell anyone now!
What Should A Driver Know Or Keep In Mind Before Using The Bathroom In Their Car Or In Public?
Now even though the chances of this happening might be slim to none, I still want to make you guys aware of it just in case something does happen. That being said, for any driver that decides to follow my advice concerning easily being able to use the bathroom in public as a Rideshare driver, should know what I’m about to say next. There’s no physical law stating that a person cannot urinate or defecate in public, especially when it pertains to the D.C, Maryland and Virginia (DMV) area where I’m located. It’s more of an “unspoken law” I guess where folks just know not to do it.
Even though this may be the case, there’s something else to keep in mind that you could be charged with if you were to get caught using the bathroom in public. That “something else” that you could be charged with is something called “indecent exposure” and I’ll leave it at that! So please be extra vigilant and careful when deciding to take this route. You’ve officially been warned!
What Does A Driver Need To Have Before Using The Bathroom In Public?
Before I begin, I want to make you guys aware that the majority of this advice in this segment concerning using the bathroom in public, will pertain to my gentleman and strictly urinating (No #2’s or #3’s if you know what I mean lol!). A lady could still use some of this advice listed within this review. He might just have to be a little flexible that’s all lol. But the majority of these recommendations are for my gentleman. Sorry ladies! I also want to let you guys know before I get into this segment, that what you’ll need to have before relieving yourself will depend on if you’re choosing to relieve yourself inside of your car or outside of it. Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s explain now what you’ll need before deciding to empty your bladder in your car or in public lol.
Whether you decide to use the bathroom in your vehicle or outside of your vehicle, the good thing is that you don’t really need much when choosing to get started. Whether you choose to pee in a bucket or on a tree, the basic utensils you’ll need will be toilet paper or paper towels, baby wipes, a can of Lysol and some hand sanitizer. If you’re only planning on relieving yourself outside of your car then that would be it. But if you’re planning on using the bathroom inside of your vehicle (which is my specialty lol!), then you’ll need those four basics that I just mentioned, as well as dark tinted windows and a nice small quart size bucket. You won’t be using a bottle because a bottle can be messy depending on how bad you have to go if you know what I mean.
You’re now ready to go, literally lol!
How Can A Driver Relieve Themselves Inside Of Their Vehicle?
Now there are a few steps every rideshare driver should take into consideration before deciding to relieve themselves inside of their personal vehicle. But before following these steps, a driver must first consider getting dark tint film added to the windows of their vehicle (preferably 20% or less). Reason being is because we don’t always see everything all the time. Especially at night or when it’s raining! When I say “everything”, I mean people that may be watching or people who you may not have noticed.
We also find ourselves in moments where we just have to go regardless of the situation or where you might be at that very moment. So having tint windows makes going to the bathroom inside of your vehicle very possible regardless of the situation or where you might be located at that very moment. That is if you were to let me tell it! Once you have those tints installed, it’s now time to follow these five steps and they are the following:
Step 1: First, finish dropping your passengers off and immediately drive away from the drop off destination. Doing this will ensure that your passenger doesn’t surprise you in any way due to an item that was left behind or something else for that matter. We don’t need any surprise walk ups breaking our concentration. Mistakes happen like that if you know what I mean! Trust me I know..
Step 2: Second, find a private area where no one is close to you. This includes not only pedestrians, but other vehicles as well. I love large parking lots, especially when it’s in the middle of the day! But if you have to go where there are pedestrians and other vehicles, then you just have to do what you have to do. Sometimes you just have to go! This is why having tinted windows is so important. Desperate times can sometimes call for desperate measures!
Step 3: Third, get all of your bathroom utensils together including your small bucket, toilet paper or paper towels, baby/cleaning wipes, Lysol spray and your hand sanitizer. We don’t want our hands to be dirty after we’re finished touching our private areas right? And if you happen to make a mess, you want to have that can of Lysol spray and paper towels already available on standby. You have to be ready for anything when deciding to answer the call of nature inside you lol!
Step 4: Fourth, it’s time to whip it out lol! Recline your chair back, unzip those Uber pants lol, grab your bucket, place it between your legs and a little under your steering wheel and just let it go. I hate to be nasty when I say this, but take your time as you urinate that way you don’t splash anything on your seats, floors, doors, center council or steering wheel.
Step 5: Fifth, clean up your mess! After dumping your urine, spray your bucket with Lysol and wipe it down with paper towels or toilet paper. Utilize your Lysol to disinfect any other surfaces or areas that you may have come into contact with or unintentionally dirtied. You can sanitize your hands and dry them with those paper towels as well. Create a trash bag, throw these disgusting pieces of paper away, open the windows to release any smells you may not have noticed and you’re done! Easy money right?
How Can A Driver Relieve Themselves Outside Of Their Vehicle or In Public?
When it comes to a Rideshare driver relieving themselves on the outside of their vehicle or in public, you basically follow all the steps listed in the previous segment minus everything that has to do with using the bathroom inside of your car. But for better understanding purposes, I’ll write out the steps again which are the following:
Step 1: First, you always want to finish dropping your passenger off before going to relieve yourself. Never attempt to use the bathroom around a passengers pickup or drop off destination, especially when releasing it outside in public.
Step 2: Second, drive off and try to find a secluded area where no one’s around. I prefer large wooded areas where there are a lot of trees, bushes and foliage. Maybe even behind an abandoned building, if you’re not the scary type lol! Especially when it’s daylight. When it’s dark I try to stick to wooded areas or maybe even dumpster areas behind business buildings, gas stations, restaurants and so forth!
Step 3: Third, get all of your bathroom utensils together minus the bucket, preferably in a small bag which could hang around your arm or wrist. If you don’t think you’ll make a mess and you trust yourself that much, you could actually leave your Lysol spray, paper towels and baby/cleaning wipes behind. We don’t need any extra baggage or distractions while trying to focus on the process lol!
Step 4: Fourth, it’s time to whip it out again or squat if you’re a lady lol! Get as close as you can to what you plan on urinating on and let it loose. You want to again take your time when doing so, just to be sure not to make a mess on your hands, shirt, pants or shoes. The better your aim, the less mess you’ll have to clean up. Practice makes perfect lol!
Step 5: Fifth, it’s time to clean up your mess again lol! But the good thing is that you won’t have to clean up as much as when choosing to relieve yourself inside a car. That is if your aim was good lol! But if your aim was lousy and you didn’t care what you peed on, you might have some disinfecting and sanitizing to do when it comes to your hands, clothes and shoes. Do this first before getting back into your vehicle that way you don’t transfer any body fluids or bacteria. Now you’re done.. you can thank me later!
Is There Another Way That A Driver Could Go About Using The Bathroom?
Well of course there’s another way that a driver could go about using the bathroom when they really have to go! As a matter of fact, what I’m about to share with you is not only the safest approach, but should also be your first approach when going about urinating or defecating while on the road. I really need to tell you guys this so you can’t say that your Rideshare doctor didn’t give you a better, more safer, law abiding option lol! I don’t want anybody going to jail because of something I said or recommended. Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way, it’s now time to explain to you guys exactly what that option is which some of you might already know or have an idea!
That option would be for a driver to simply drive to a location that has a public restroom available! But like I mentioned already, I’m pretty sure some of you already knew that. Your average driver isn’t as crazy as I am. Especially for my ladies! That being said, when a Rideshare driver has to use the bathroom and plans on relieving themselves in a public restroom, a driver should always ask themselves these questions first:
1.) Do I Have Any Streak Bonuses Pending? Before I begin searching for a restroom, I usually ask myself are there any Streak bonuses pending for that particular hour? Reason being is because I came to work to focus on making money and not to focus on using a bathroom. So if there’s a way for me to hold my #1, #2 or even worse #3 until I’m finished earning my bonus, then I guess I’ll just be holding it!
But if I can’t hold it or if I’ve already been holding it and I feel like it’s a die-hard emergency, then I guess I won’t be earning that streak bonus for that particular hour. In cases like these, all money isn’t good money. That being said, do what’s best for you as well and adjust yourself accordingly!
2.) How Bad Do I Have To Go/Can I Hold It? After you’ve come to a conclusion concerning Streak bonuses, it’s now time to ask yourself how bad do you really have to go. You have to be honest with yourself too because if you’re not, you’re the one who has to pay the price in the form of urinating or defecating on yourself! If this happens, let’s just say that you might be finished driving for the day earlier than you expected. Just a little reminder that’s all!!
3.) Is It Possible To Find And Use A Restroom Right Now? After you’ve come to a conclusion on whether or not you’ll be able to hold your bowels, it’s now time to either find a restroom right now or find a restroom after you finish dropping off your last pickup. If you have to use the bathroom really bad and you feel like you won’t be able to hold it any longer, my next suggestion to you would be to find the closest restroom now before picking up your next ride!
You could easily do this by using your GPS instead of searching on Google for the nearest restroom locations. Type into your GPS a place that you know has a restroom like a McDonald’s, Royal Farms, or Wawa. These would be my go to places since I’m always working night shift hours. So search ahead of time for places that work best for you so you’ll be ready. Preparation is key!
4.) Am I Dropping My Passenger Off In An Area That Has Restrooms? Now if you are able to hold your stomach without pissing or pooping yourself, the next question you should be asking yourself is are there any restrooms located around my passengers drop off location? You can even speed up the answer to your question by asking your passenger direct, which I do a lot lol! You know the only dumb question is the question you didn’t ask right? So search for all the answers you can while making your way there and plan accordingly!
5.) If I’m Not Close, How Far Away Is A Bathroom Going To Be From My Passengers Drop Off Area? Now that you know for sure that there aren’t any bathrooms in the area where you’ll be dropping off your passenger, it’s now time to search for restrooms in that particular area. You could actually do this during your ride which is what I like to do. Especially if I have to pee or poop really, really bad and I feel like I can’t hold it any longer! If it gets to the point where it’s literally unbearable (which I look at as a #3 lol!), then I guess I’ll just have to drive to a safe area now, pull out my bucket and do what I have to do!
Any Personal Benefits To Being Able To Use The Bathroom When You Need To?
I don’t know about you guys, but when I have to go to the bathroom really bad, my whole attitude changes. When I say my whole attitude changes I’m basically referring to my feelings and the way I’m driving. The way I feel inside (literally lol!) will definitely impact the way that I’m driving. So if I’m feeling bad in the stomach, then I might be driving and accelerating badly like a road rage driver. Everything that I do is going to be mixed with a little bit of hostility, frustration and urgency, which I think all directly correlates with me really having to use the bathroom!
So with all that being said, the ability to relieve oneself when needed offers numerous benefits such as fewer frustrating moments, improved concentration, increased patience and reduced worrying in daily interactions. I came up with these answers myself by using myself as an example lol. But you might have figured that out by now too lol. Even though I know that there may be more benefits from using the bathroom when necessary, the benefits I am currently aware of are the ones that hold true for me. Especially after I’m finished dropping a humongous load. Don’t judge me lol!
My Professional Conclusion:
So in conclusion I would like to say that there are multiple benefits that come with being a Rideshare driver. Being able to use the bathroom when you want or need to is just one of them. Just don’t get caught slipping with your pants down because being charged with indecent exposure is not only real, but real embarrassing if you were to get caught lol! Don’t say your Rideshare doctor didn’t warned you. Be safe and be sure to check what the laws are in your area concerning urinating or defecating in public. You could also try using a regular public restroom when you can if you’re not sure or feeling uncomfortable about urinating in public. It’s better to be safe than sorry right?
So now that I’m nearing the end of this review, I have to know what you guys felt about this review. Do you guys have something to say or add concerning being able to use the bathroom at work? Have you ever been in a position where you couldn’t use the bathroom while at work? If this is the case, please share it! Feel free to leave those stories, thoughts, comments and concerns at the bottom of this review and I will be sure to respond back to you as soon as possible!
